...In 1607 An English colony was settled at Jamestown in present-day Virginia. 400 Years later in 2007, Virginia native Michael Vick tainted all things holy in Virginia after his role as a “key figure” was discovered in an illegal dog fighting ring. “I’m a fuckin soldier” was his response to the accusations...wait, that was Kellen Winslow Jr’s dumb ass in response to his block on a Tennessee defender. Also on this day in 1846 the United States declared a state of war against our neighbor from the south, Mehico, which would eventually start the 2 year Mexican-American War. That about sums up today’s history lesson, brought to you by the fine folks over at the University of Kentucky because they were so glad they don’t have to deal with my antics over there at the ol BE building.
