Say it aint so....

Close sources to the fix say that Pitino is in South Beach entertaining the Zona Job with AU contacts... Let's hope that this is A. Not true. B. An ego stroker. C. A bad idea at trying to beef up his Louisville contract. D. A sympathy fuck after drumming them in the tourney. or E. He wants to retire with golf and all the beautiful baby blondes in Tuscon/Tempe/Phoenix??? Let's hope it's a look but don't touch kind of situation... Stay Tuned!!!

Update:

Pitino is in South Beach with his coaching staff at a friends condo... He is not staying at his Miami house because he has rented it out for the week. No Arizona officials have been confirmed and ESPN just report that the Cats are after Capel. There is a buzz around the boosters in the Ville is that he would possibly entertain another prominent coach post with a short term deal (2-4 years) in which his son, Richard, took over the helm after he called it quits ala Bobby Knight-Eddie Sutton. Honestly I think it would be tough for him to leave UofL being fresh off a solid season, on the brink of a state of the art arena and strong recruiting pipeline. Not to mention a state rivalry that will finally (Thanks UK for stepping up and actually trying to win) be amoung the UNC/DUKE's of the world...

But hey you never know money and family can do funny things to peoples rational thinking...

  2. I don't hink Jurich is that stupid but Pitino has the clout to present the offer for other big programs that court him say like Arizona... I mean schools these days will do anything to win... Just ask Kentucky.

  3. Pitino is going to leave and Jeremy Tyler will be a Wildcat. Uof L is now officially a girls basketball school.

  5. Actually Anonymous, your report is false. Tim Floyd is staying put at Southern Cal as the head basketball coach. So that position at Arizona is still up for grabs........
