Today we celebrate the anniversary of the most prolific individual basketball performance ever put on the floor. On March 2nd, 1962 Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain reached triple figures scoring 100 points in a game against the New York Knicks (guess they didn't play much D back then either)!
His line looked like this:
36-63 from the field
28-32 from the line (yet being worse from the line than Shaq, at a career 51% FT shooter)
In case you were wondering the over certainly hit as the Philadelphia Warriors beat the Knicks 169-147.
Think LeBron or D-Wade will threaten Wilt's individual game scoring record?? Probably not, but the two leading scorers in the league this year go head-to-head tonight at 7:30 PM.
