Bracketology 101

First off, Joe Lunardi is a bum!  The guy is deemed to be the know-it-all when it comes to predicting the NCAA College Basketball tourney brackets.  Yes he correctly predicted all 65 teams to make the tourney last year, but if you actually looked at the seedings and match-ups he was way off.  While Joey Bracket gets paid big bucks to study college basketball all season and tell us who's in and who's out, I will simply do it for all the YDF'ers out there for free.

The brackets were not given regions due to the play-in game and location of the overall number one seed (who although I believe will be UNC, could very easily go to them boys down the road in Pitinoville).  I also believe Memphis is not worthy of a number 1 seed, but neither are 3 Big East teams and no one else stepped up to the plate to take it away from them, so there you go.  In that same region I have Oklahoma as a 2 seed.  Really any Big 12 team (KU or Mizzou) could swap with them considering they all suck and the conference won't see a team in the Final Four.  Notice how the Big Ten received as many teams as the Big East with 7, yet nobody has talked about the Big Ten all year.

Happy Selection Sunday to all of you.  Love to hear from everyone in the comments section.  Hopefully we'll see all of you TRUE WILDCAT fans at Memorial on Tuesday.  My early NIT prediction have the Cats hosting more Cats from Davidson.

Also, I'd like to give a shout-out to Coach Wayne Martin (the last coach to take the Eagles of Morehead St. to the big dance).  His son Matthew Martin has a very credible basketball blog, Who Is Now, CHECK IT OUT!
