BEAT THE RUSH!

Rush to the stores and stock up people.  Tonight at midnight a new 6% sales tax on alcohol will be put into place.

And no this is not an April Fools joke from us here at YDF.  Just wanted to inform those in the great state of KY.  Although I'm never a fan of increased prices, especially during these tough times, from an economists perspective it makes sense.  I'd like to here comments from our more established business minds.  Surely a little raise for some booze, won't diminish Kentuckians from drinking and a couple dollars here or there will hopefully help stimulate the local economy.  We'll see.

  1. Between 326 E Maxwell and 162 St. Margaret we would single handedly get KY's economy back in to the "swing" of things, no pun intended Turk...

  2. If you were a congressmen of kentucky's state legislature from a DRY COUNTY, wouldn't it be great to tax the hell out of every WET county out there and reep the benefits (be able to use the proceeds of the tax) without having a single person in your district complain about the tax hike. Call me crazy but I don't think the dry counties should get a dime from any alcohol tax. BUT its the way it works. Now You Know. More details to come.

By the way. Not all economists agree that taxes are good. In fact very few actually believe that its good for anyone.
