Damaged Goods

I've Heard the story of the 1990 NCAA Championship game from those who really, really, really witnessed it... And it ends with Runnin Rebels of UNLV blasting Duke by 70... Fast forward 19 years and what happen?! Those Dukies did it again.. only it was by 17 this time... But hey it still hurts like hell...

Last night

The Duke Blue Devils traveled to their sister state, entered 'Lil' Jon' Coliseum, and walked out literally holding there asses.. Yea i watched it.. Even Steve Johnson got up off the bench and had to scoop his ass up out of the chair!

The first half of ball was like watching Mike Tyson in the '82 jr. Olympics... Clemson knocked them out in 8 sec. Duke had nothing for the pressure that tigers were applying. The Blue devils looked like they were facing a lower level NBA Western Conference team (no credit to the Clemson Kittens) ; Tervor Booker was throwing down dunks like a Brock Lesner right hook, (and then there was Gerald Henderson) and Terrence Oglesby was draining 3 pointers like lil' Wayne drops mixtapes, oh and did i mention that this was all in the 1st half of basketball?! To top off this catastrophic disaster the Blue devils only scored 21 pts, and were forced into 11 turnovers...

The Second half of ball wasn't much better.. Duke was absolutely ran out of the gym... Clemson continued to press, Duke continued to turn over the ball, Gerald Henderson was still the lone Dukie on the floor, and the Blue devils were held under 50 pts. and they scored 32 points below their average. GROSS!!!!!


Yesterday Duke really played like you marked the D and the E out of there jerseys it was hands down the worst I've ever seen them play, Coach K was making subs like it was going out of style and still nothing worked, nobody was ready to play ball. Oh how badly do i wish we could call upon those 'old school' TRUE Duke stars of 2000-2001, Those studs such as Elton Brand, J. Williams, Carlos Boozer, Dunleavy jr., Dahnta Jones, Chris Duhon Daniel Ewing, hell even to have Casey Sanders back in action would heal this wound...

If I were Coach K, I would run the film from this game all day everyday, I would make these guys feel this loss in their bones, because anything that doesn't kill you will make you better.... So lets revive John Scheyer and see can we pull it back together to face Miami on Saturday.
