Great songs have been covered for decades and recorded in the studio. Some of the best cover's I've heard, however, come in the form of live shows. And David Matthews and the rest of his band (Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard, Boyd Tinsley and Jeff Coffin) have put on some great live shows over the years. So for those of us who have gotten burnt out on Dave Matthews (definitely not Bret or Mike Stephens) and are tired of hearing his songs over and over, I have put together a list of some covers the band has performed over the years with the likes of Tim Reynolds, Warren Haynes, Emmylou Harris, and Trey Anastasio, to broaden your Dave Matthews Band horizons.
