The Double V Strategy:
During World War II, many African Americans were ready to fight for what President Franklin D. Roosevelt called the "Four Freedoms” freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear, even while they themselves lacked those freedoms at home.
More than 3 million African American males registered for service during the war. According to War Department policy, the blacks and whites who were enlisted were organized into separate units.
Frustrated black servicemen were not only forced to fight for their country, but they were also forced to fight the battle against racism; this became known as the "Double V” strategy, for the two victories they sought to win.
Interesting, but I thought the double v was what Coach K has between his legs.
