Kobe < LeBron

LeBron James entered the Garden tonight knowing what was at stake.  A cold game or a loss to the Knicks equals another notch in Kobe's belt as the debate for World's greatest baller continues between the two during the post-Jordan era.  Actually, no, I renege on that statement and am going to go ahead and say it....  Anything short of 52 pts, 10 boards, and 11 dimes would have tomorrow's media praising Kobe as the best, with LeBron coming in a close 2nd place.  And what does LeBron do???  Rips the Knickerboxers a new party-hole, recording the 1st 50+ point triple-double since Kareem accomplished it in 1975.  Seconds after Bron Bron threw his signature baby powder into the capacity gym's atmosphere (comparable to Lincoln Hawk turning his hat backward in Over the Top) he terrorized the court, making for a magical night in World-famous Madison Square Garden.

And yes I know you are saying Kobe has the rings, but seriously, my dead poodle, Josie, could have a ring with the Shaqtus in his prime.  I don't know if this will be the year, but LeBron James will win a championship, and by the end of his career he will have sealed his legacy which puts him in the same category of His Airness.

In ralated news, LeBron James wears Terrance Williams pajamas.

  1. Look Peck, Kobe is, was, and always will be a better basketball player than Lebron. Which isn't to take away from James because he is unreal. Lebron is the greatest physical specimen EVER in maybe all of pro sports. He is great and will be for a long long time.
But as a basketball player and competitor he isn't on the same level as Kobe. If, and that's a big if, he ever gained a shot like Bryant then he would completely blow away everyone.
I can't justify calling him the best when my jumper falls with the same regularity as his.
