A daycare owner and her boyfriend were arrested Sunday night when police responding to a complaint about the business discovered meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside while children were there, according to court documents.
Tammy Engle, 43, and Gene Hoover, 32, are due in court today on drug charges. They were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail Sunday night without bond.
Evansville Police Department officers went to Your Day Care in the 1100 block of South Boeke Road about 5:15 p.m. to investigate a complaint of a man smoking meth around children. That call came a couple weeks after a woman told police the home daycare smelled of marijuana when she picked up her child.
Sure, these people are in deep shit and should spend the rest of their lives in the big house, but there is a much bigger lesson to be learned here. Meth abuse probably starts pretty innocently with a toke here and there, suddenly you start losing your teeth and you haven't slept for 22 days. No big deal, right? Then before you can even say Milwaukee's Best.... BOOM!... you are waking up clothed head to toe in Fubu gear with an half-naked 76-year-old woman rolling out of your bed looking for her Dale Jr. night gown. Happens every time! Somehow I really do feel sorry for Gene, though. He's about to spend the rest of his life in prison knowing that the last piece of ass he ever got, Tammy, lost her virginity to someone during the silent film era.
